Westminster Register Office Ceremony Room Fees (including room hire, Registrar attendance, and one certificate) updated April 2020:
£613 to £759 (Mon to Thurs)
£613 to £879 (Fri)
£710 to £965 (Sat)
£856 to £1,034 (Sun)
£1,126 (Bank Holiday)
Fees are based on time of ceremony and seasons. Ceremonies before 5pm are generally cheaper than those taking place from 5pm onward. Peak season in 2020 is from 4th April – 31st October, and from 20th December – 31st December
The Westminster Room links via two double side doors to the Marylebone Room on one side and the Paddington Room on the other. Ceremonies in all 3 rooms are undertaken on the hour. Once one of these rooms is booked for a particular hour it blocks off the other two rooms as well. This is to ensure that no sound carries through to the other two rooms during a ceremony.
It does mean that a premium fee is charged for these three rooms. The fees for these three rooms (Westminster, Marylebone, and Paddington) are between £75 and £200 more than the other four rooms available (Mayfair, Pimlico, Soho, and Knightsbridge). Sundays and Bank Holidays cost above the premium fee average (£142). If you want peace and quiet and fewer other weddings taking place when you have your ceremony, choose one of these options.
In my view the premium fee is worth every penny in the Marylebone and Paddington Rooms. The wood panelling and lighting in both is sensational. If you want a really elegant, decadent feel to your ceremony and to the photographs afterwards you should seriously consider these two.
The Westminster Room has the wood panelling but very different lighting. It is very grand and has the wow factor. If you have more than 30 guests it’s the only choice at Old Marylebone Town Hall, but you can still choose to marry here with just 2 guests.
