Old Marylebone Town Hall wedding dogs have been a huge hit this year. Westminster Register Office treat dogs as part of the family – they always receive a warm welcome.
Rachel and Nathan chose the Soho Room at Old Marylebone Town Hall for their summer wedding. Guests included parents and siblings plus Rachel’s close friend, Sarah. And finally V.I.D. (Very Important Dog) Jasper, their adorable Shih Tzu.
After weeks of intense heat and strong sunshine this was the day that the weather finally shifted. Old Marylebone Town Hall is great because it has a huge portico which keeps everyone dry while still keeping the lovely directional light. Luckily there was only light rain until their photos were finished and then it absolutely bucketed down.
Nathan arrived first with his sisters and parents. He wore a smart blue three-piece suit. Rachel arrived with Sarah and Jasper and greeted her brother and mother on the steps. I took a couple of family portraits and Jasper sat sweetly and just smiled at me. I nearly died. Rachel wore a striking a-line calf length fitted sleeveless dress teamed with gold t-bar sandals.
Jasper was beautifully behaved throughout the short ceremony. Watching intently as Nathan’s mum (Tammy) talked about him during her reading – everybody laughing. And then Rachel’s brother (Liam) gave a wonderfully emotional reading causing Rachel to shed a tear.
Afterwards they all shared champagne and I took a few photos of just Rachel and Nathan. The last photo was taken just after they swept Jasper up and held him in their arms. It’s a stunning portrait that tells me everything about these three’s relationship.
The Soho Room is an ideal venue for up to 20 people. For further details please check out my Soho Room page. If you are thinking about getting married at Old Marylebone Town Hall please click here.
