Amy & Andrew’s Leeds Castle Autumn wedding was an intimate day with just 50 guests. They married at St Nicholas Church in the village of Leeds and then made their way to Leeds Castle. The water surrounding the Castle was a beautiful blue, was very still and probably extremely cold! One of the peacocks greeted their arrival at the gatehouse and before darkness set in we did a few family photos and then some of just Amy and Andrew. We kept this brief to allow them more time with their guests during their drinks reception in the library.

The Henry VIII Banqueting Hall was wonderfully presented with simple place settings and tall elaborate silver candelabras. Amy and Andrew met in Australia – Amy is from Kent and Andrew is from New Zealand. Amy wore a stunning heavy silk multiple tiered wedding dress which hugged her figure beautifully. She teamed this with peep toe heels and a long silk lined veil. Her flowers were bold and bright deep pink and orange roses. Andrew and his groomsmen wore tails and Andrew’s grey tie looked great with his orange buttonhole.

After dinner everyone moved to the reception rooms for coffee and then they all made their way home. The following day they had a hog roast and ceilidh at the Great Barn in Rolvenden with 100 guests and it was great to see them all again. Andrew’s speech had everyone in stitches and after their buffet hog roast the ceilidh started up and everyone got very quickly into the swing of things.

I have now worked at Leeds Castle in late Spring, Summer and Autumn so it’s just Winter to go. I can only imagine how romantic it would look having wedding photographs taken in the snow.

If you are having a wedding ceremony, wedding blessing, a renewal of vows or simply a dinner party at Leeds Castle do get in touch to discuss photography. For pricing have a look at my main Leeds Castle page.
