Lorraine and Meb had their Langham wedding reception at the Roux at The Landau Restaurant in the heart of London’s West End. First though, they arrived at Chelsea Old Town Hall on the King’s Road which is the home of the Kensington and Chelsea Register Office. They had two guests (their witnesses) – Steve and Louise – and had their civil wedding ceremony in the Rossetti Room.
Lorraine wore a stunning ivory knee-length shift dress with embroidered lace and gold heeled sandals. Meb wore a blue-grey suit and bold purple and deep pink floral tie. They looked wonderful on the staircase inside the registry office. There were plenty of smiles as Fiona (one of the Registrars) handled the ceremony. I loved the flowers in a vase supplied by Amanda Austin Flowers on the King’s Road. Lorraine had them instead of a wedding bouquet so that they could sit on the marriage table and also go with them to their room at the Langham. A great idea!
The rings came in a Tiffany pouch and were beautifully engraved with their names and the date of their wedding. Meb’s delight as they were pronounced husband and wife was a classic. A football style, “get in!!!” Meb did a short reading and then the four of them signed the marriage Register. They exited onto the famous King’s Road steps and Steve and Louise did a great job with the confetti. A few shots outside and then we all headed to the Langham for drinks and a few photos of just the two of them. They then made their way to the restaurant for lunch.
