Being a La Mia Mamma wedding photographer is always a treat. Andras and Jennifer chose the Brydon Room at Chelsea Register Office for their civil wedding ceremony and invited six of their very closest friends to be their guests.

The Brydon Room is a spacious, elegant, and impressive room inside Chelsea Old Town Hall on the King’s Road. It seats up to 38 guests in addition to the couple.

Jennifer wore a silver-grey full-length chiffon dress with beaded top and short sleeves. She teamed this with a stunning display or orchids and pale pink roses. Andras wore a navy suit and pale green tie with a pale pink buttonhole to match Jennifer’s flowers. It was a lovely moment when Jennifer walked into the Brydon Room at the start of the ceremony. When she reached the end of the aisle and met Andras they were so joyous – the shot of them touching foreheads and noses is a real favourite of mine.

There was much laughter throughout the civil ceremony and then it was out onto the King’s Road via the famous steps.

The guests went on ahead to La Mia Mamma (257 Kings Road, London SW3 5EL), a ten-minute stroll down the King’s Road. Us three followed with me taking photos in front of the Ivy Chelsea Garden, and in Chelsea’s side streets with their black railings and white stucco buildings.

La Mia Mamma offers authentic Italian food cooked by Italian mammas brought over from Italy. It has a fantastic family feel. I took a last one of everyone toasting with champagne and then left them to their celebrations.

If you have booked your civil ceremony at the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea’s Register Office, please have a look at my Chelsea page. I offer short one, one and a half, and two and a half coverage in the Brydon Room, Rossetti Room, and Harrington Room. One and a half hour coverage includes your arrivals, the ceremony, confetti on the famous steps, groups on the steps and finally a few of just the two of you at a nearby park or location of your choice.
