Hi there and thanks so much for visiting.
As you can see, I’m a wedding and portrait photographer. My favourite part of this job is getting to know clients and taking photos that they will LOVE. With more than 10 years of full-time experience, I’ll handle any kind of scenario: torrential downpours when the bride arrives, a missing best man or sobbing flower girls. (TOP TIP: Jelly Babies).
Luckily, these scenarios aren’t very common. More often, it’s the small things like seeing the bride’s mum glowing with pride on her daughter’s wedding day and choosing that moment for a portrait of her and her daughter that will live on her mantlepiece in a beloved silver photo frame. Or checking for rainclouds and bringing forward the timing of family group photos to avoid being soaked. It means that the couples I work with really do live their wedding day ‘in the moment’, because I’m looking out for them.
And with family shoots, it’s the knowledge from a decade of photographing generations that go into many of the best-loved portraits. Of knowing how to capture the affection of a small boy for his bossy older sister. Knowing the tomboy girl is going to throw a wobbly when asked to wear the embroidered dress chosen with love by granny and finding a compromise. And helping mothers find a pulled-together wardrobe for their family photos without breaking the bank or their husband’s patience … that’s what I do.
Because being a wedding and portrait photographer is so much more than knowing how to use your camera. So if you want that safe pair of hands and an ability to make small children laugh, get in touch.
