A Day To Remember Westminster ‘Win Your Wedding’ at Old Marylebone Town Hall Competition
Early last year A Day To Remember Westminster (also known as Westminster Register Office) ran a ‘Win Your Wedding Competition’. And here are the winners – Ifeyinwa and Ebenezer – enjoying their Winter wedding in Old Marylebone Town Hall’s stylish Pimlico Room. Their prize included their wedding ceremony held at Old Marylebone Town Hall, flowers by Sayeh & Galton, a drinks reception and a one-night stay at Dorset Square Hotel, and photographs by Emma Duggan Photography (aka me).
The day was brisk – freezing for those travelling in from overseas – but they all braved the wind like absolute troopers. Everyone was in joyful spirits from the start. Registrars Alison Cathcart and Lael Douglas met the couple in the Paddington Room for their pre ceremony interview. The ceremony was a delight – the Pimlico Room has an elegant and bright vibe. Afterwards the two Mums witnessed the signing of the Register. Big cheers as everyone headed downstairs afterwards for a wonderful confetti throw.
I took a few group photographs on the famous stone steps and then everyone walked across the road to Dorset Square Hotel for a drinks reception. Ifeyinwa and Ebenezer stayed behind for a few couple portraits and it was really fun despite the extreme cold. Ifeyinwa’s one-piece trouser suit in white with a structured bodice and sheer crossover detail leading to puff sleeves looked stunning under the columns at Old Marylebone Town Hall.
We caught up with everyone for drinks and canapes at Dorset Square Hotel and a few more friends and family joined them there. The Potting Shed is a restaurant and event space linked to Dorset Square Hotel and is ideal for small gatherings. It’s also the nearest venue to Old Marylebone Town Hall which is an added bonus. From there everyone headed to Royal China Restaurant on Baker Street for the wedding breakfast… and cake of course!
